true is two!

i have been photographing my dear friend tracy since before her son true even arrived. her maternity portraits and true's birth photos were really special for me to be a part of, so you know i was looking forward to documenting true's second birthday party! the weather in seattle on memorial day (aka "labor day" to tracy!) was perfect for friends to sit in the yard and watch all the adorable kids play. what a sweet afternoon. happy birthday true- we love you!

the travel section!

i am so excited to finally see the travel section of the chicago tribune that my photos appeared in a few weeks back! there's just something about seeing the actual newspaper that feels a lot more real than an online slide show...

the big four-oh!

greg and i traveled to southern california last weekend to be a part of my parents' big 40th anniversary/retirement party. it was a great time, and the dance floor at their party was wilder than most of the weddings that i photograph! congratulations mom and dad!

erica & conan!

i loved being a part of this couple's big day! erica and conan are super fun and totally laid back, and they are high school sweethearts who have been dating for more than a decade- how cute is that?! they got married in a beautiful ceremony at a hotel on the columbia river in portland on march 22. the reception turned into quite the dance party (which was a blast to photograph!) and it was great to see these two thoroughly enjoy their night. congratulations erica and conan!!!
