christina and jason are engaged!

it was so nice to hang out with jason and christina on saturday, and so lucky that we got a break in the rain for their engagement session! we met up at edgefield, and had a great time wandering the grounds, and even taking a break in the middle of the shoot for a pint of mcmennamin's beer! these two are so cute together, and i am really looking forward to shooting their wedding in august.

joshua tree

perhaps it's because we here in the northwest have just endured six months of soggy weather, but lately, i have had a huge urge to be out in the desert. my dreams of arid soil and cacti were realized when i made the trek from LA to joshua tree national park last week. my mom (who also loves to snap photos!) and i had a blast exploring the boulder formations, glimpsing a coyote, and getting to know the oddly beautiful tree for which the park is named.

spring break boys

i had such a great time visiting friends and family up and down the west coast this past week! it was soooo good to catch up with everyone, and to see my friends' kids that are so much more grown up since last time i saw them. here are a few of my favorites. more shots from the rest of the trip soon...

ben and sarah

it was so much fun to meet ben and sarah and spend a little time with them at their home. their whole family is creative, so it's no surprise that they both needed new headshots; sarah for an upcoming dance program, and ben for future acting opportunities. what wonderful kids!

nancy and eric's perfect day

yesterday i had the pleasure of photographing eric and nancy's wedding at the governor hotel. besides that fact the i LOVE working with katie of katie jervis photography (i might have said that once or twice before!), everything was wonderful about the event- perfect weather, unique details, fun couple, gorgeous location, intimate ceremony- you get the idea! eric gets the honor of being the first groom i have photographed in a kilt!
